Federal Incentives
Program Status: paused
The federal iZEV Program for light-duty zero-emission vehicles has been paused since January 12, 2025 due to fully committed funds and is not active in 2026. Businesses may access enhanced capital cost allowances (CCAs) for eligible electric vehicles, but this is a tax deduction, not a direct rebate.
How it works:
- Purchase an eligible Tesla model.
- Tesla submits the incentive application on your behalf at point-of-sale.
- Tesla deducts the value of the incentive from the final vehicle price before taxes.
- The government reimburses Tesla for the incentive amount.

Provincial Incentives
Ontario
Currently, Ontario does not offer provincial incentives for electric vehicles. The program was cancelled in 2018.
Currently, most provinces do not offer incentives for Tesla vehicles. Quebec and British Columbia may offer incentives for certain models. Please check your provincial government website for the most up-to-date information.
